Military Career Services

Training for a career is what PTC is all about, and we understand the special needs of the military student. We have contacts with employers throughout the region who are particularly interested in hiring veterans.

In your first semester at PTC you will meet with your career services advisor to help you craft a career plan. Each PTC program includes an internship and over half of these internships turn into full time positions. PTC's Career Services department offers great resources and valuable job insight for our military students. We assist students in developing a career plan and provide Steps to Career Success workshops. Plus, we plan career fairs, speed networking, and conduct an alumni speaker series, and backpack to briefcase events. The advisors in Career Services have what military students need to get their career on a successful track.

And this service doesn't stop at graduation. Alumni can receive career assistance and attend free professional development courses to keep current in their field. That means students never really leave PTC; we're always here to help support you in your career. As a PTC student you get a good start on your career; as a PTC graduate, you get a jump start when you need it!

Career Services is dedicated to student success. Help includes:

  • Part-time job search assistance for military students who need to work while going to school
  • Internship placement in your field of study
  • Job search assistance before and after graduation
  • Providing access to a 24/7 Online Job Posting Site
  • Arranging mock interviews, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and following up with employers
  • Coordinating on-campus interviews and hosting job fairs
