An alternative loan is a private loan in your name based on a credit history report. You may not have a credit history established, many students don’t, so you may need a cosigner. A cosigner can be anyone, family or friend, that has good credit established, and is willing to cosign on a loan for you. There are a number of lenders that offer these loans.
If you need to apply for an alternative loan, refer to Alternative Loan Comparison Chart. In addition, the links below represent a sample of lenders who have previously provided funding through PTC. This is not exclusive and you are free to select any lender of your choosing.
