Let us help you make the most of your education history.
We want to help you make the most of the credits you’ve earned.
It is not unusual for students to apply to Pittsburgh Technical College after taking classes at another institution, or after completing a certificate or a degree elsewhere.
If you have credits you would like to transfer, if you have a transcript you would like us to review, we’re here to help.
Let us review your transcript before you apply
Before you apply for admission, we will review your transcript, and give you an idea of which classes and how many credits can transfer into your PTC program of choice.
It’s simple. Just email (or fax, if it is easier) your unofficial transcript to Hannah Stieving.
We can quickly give you an idea of classes we believe will transfer. Then, we can talk further about your interests and career goals.
Does this sound like you?
- Immediately after high school graduation you enrolled in college. After a semester or two, life got in the way and you had to leave. Now, it’s time to pick up where you left off.
- Community college was your choice. You took a handful of classes, or you completed a certificate or degree. Now, you can to take that next step.
Students come to PTC with a variety of education experiences. Some are unexpectedly short. Others not so much. Regardless of your postsecondary history, we want to help you make the most of the credits you’ve earned.
In most cases the general education credits you’ve earned can transfer into one of PTC’s associate degree or bachelor’s degree programs. And, in many cases, other credits can transfer in, too.
Whether you took one class or twelve, send us an unofficial transcript or simply tell us about the courses you’ve taken and we’ll let you know what we think can transfer to PTC.
Then we can talk about applying for admission and selecting a start date.
