Q: How can I get a copy of my transcript?
A: You can do that online at the transcript request tab. Just complete the form and submit.
Your request should be on its way within 48 hours. All PTC student and graduate requests are processed at no charge.

Q: Can someone help me update my resume?
A: PTC offers Optimal Resume to our graduates.
Please refer to the attached Optimal Resume booklet if you are interested in creating a new resume. This step-by-step guide provides a fool-proof way of creating the perfect resume. The instructions for accessing Optimal Resume are as follows: enter https://pti.optimalresume.com and click on the Create New Account button. Within 24 hours after submitting your information, your account will be activated and you will be ready to create your resume.
New to the Career Services Department is Career Connect, PTC's online career search tool. It offers graduates a wizard-based resume builder and templates for resumes, cover letters, and other job search documents. Q. Should my resume indicate PTI of Pittsburgh Technical College?
A. If you graduated from PTI in 2016 or later you should use Pittsburgh Technical College. If you graduated before 2016, use Pittsburgh Technical Institute.
Q. If I want a Pittsburgh Technical College Diploma how can I obtain one?
A. Students who graduated in 2016 may obtain a Pittsburgh Technical College Diploma at no charge. To obtain yours follow this link to order. PTC Diploma
Q: How can I get information on professional development courses? Can anyone attend?
A: PTC offers Continuing Education courses that cover a variety of professional topics. Visit the Continuing Education section of this website to check on courses that are being offered. If you don’t see what you want, contact Alumni Coordinator Christine Ioli at firstname.lastname@example.org. Courses are open to all PTC graduates. However, you must register in advance. If you are thinking of returning for a second program, you might consider one of PTI’s Online programs or After Dark programs. Some graduates can elect one of PTC’s new bachelor’s degree programs: Business Administration or Information Systems and Technology. Learn more here.
Q: I'm interested in evening certification programs. What does PTC offer?
A: PTC offers evening certification programs through its Center for Certification and Adult Learning.
These are Microsoft and IT tracks that prepare students for certification exams in areas such as Microsoft Network Professional, MCITP: Enterprise
Administrator, and CompTIA A+. Visit the School of Technology pages of this website for specific offerings or schedule a campus visit to talk with admissions.
Q: Are alumni permitted to use the computer labs?
A: We welcome graduates to the North Fayette Campus to visit, to share their latest successes - and to use the computer labs for job search and career development purposes.
Regular hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday; and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, and closed Sunday.
Print Center hours are slightly different: 7:15 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; and closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Registration through Career Services (weekdays) or Reception (weekends) is necessary to secure a user name and password valid for one day computer lab

Graduates must adhere to the computer use and electronics communication policy posted in the computer labs - just like they did as students.
