Craft Fundraiser for the Bradley Center

March 21, 2014 -

Dozens of PTC students, faculty and staff gathered Thursday to participate in a fundraising effort for the Bradley Center to help kids in need.
The program, spearheaded by Instructor Mark Bellemare, is part of a continuing program to help some of the area’s most deserving children.

On Thursday, participants painted, touched up and finished over 100 craft pieces the Bradley Center children had begun, to raise money for arts and crafts at the Center.
The completed craft pieces will be combined with a collection of photographs and sold at the Mall at Robinson beginning May 1.

“This is part of an eight year relationship between PTC and the Bradley Center, “ Mr. Bellemare said. “Today PTC students will collaborate by bringing their ideas, skills, and talents to create a number of pieces for the fundraising show”

“ It is good to help the Bradley Center kids” remarked Alexandra Hepler, a design student at PTC, as she painted a craft letter K. “Helping the kids makes me feel good about myself”
A number of other design students lent their talents to the effort. Brandy Baker said “ Arts and crafts is a nice way to help out kids. I hope our help makes them a lot of money”
