Healthy Week at PTC

August 22, 2014 - Lifestyle, Student Activities

It was a very healthy week at PTC as the Human Resources Department sponsored Health and Wellness Week that included seminars in Stress Management, Becoming Fruit & Veggie Savvy, a Health Screening Test, and a Wellness Profile with the Highmark Direct Truck on campus. The week culminated with a Health Care Fair featuring over 40 exhibits. Students, faculty and staff experienced free chair massages, body mass index readings and enjoyed nutritional snacks and product samples.

“We focus on a healthy campus at PTC” said Nancy Sheppard, Director of Human Resources. “We do everything we can to promote a healthy campus life from regular lunch and learn programs to bringing in outside healthcare resources.”

Over 500 people attended the events and came away with prize baskets of healthy foods, gift cards and a better knowledge of the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
