Courses acceptable for transfer must be comparable to those taught at PTC and completed with a grade of C or higher. Course descriptions and/or course syllabi may be requested in order to make that decision.  College level courses (course number 100 or higher) may be considered for transfer.

*Courses must have been taken within the past 10 years.

Special Notes: Pharmacology cannot be transferred unless you have taken NUR137 at PTC and received a grade of C or better. Credit for RNU 175, Introduction to Nursing, may be granted through successfully completing the course challenge. Once you have reserved a place in class you can contact Nicki DeMark at 412-809-5264 to make arrangements to challenge this course.

The Registrar and the Academic Chairs for General Education and for Nursing review all courses to determine if they are acceptable for transfer.  The School of Nursing reserves the right to require repetition of some courses if necessary to obtain all needed content and skill mastery.
